Support Heart Health at the Northbay Heart Walk

September 12, 2018

You never have to think about it, but your heart works around the clock for you. Many people dealing with heart attack, stroke and heart disease are not so fortunate. Whether your life or that of someone you love has been touched by heart troubles, join us in support of heart health at the Northbay Heart Walk.

Join the
Heart & Vascular Institute of Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital at the 2018 Northbay Heart Walk put on by the American Heart Association. This year’s event allows you the option of a one, two or four-mile non-competitive walk around beautiful Howarth Park.

About the American Heart Association

The
American Heart Association (AHA) was founded in 1924 by six cardiologists who believed that better treatment options were possible for heart disease, America’s number one killer. In the 94 years since the organization’s formation, it has secured funding for the research that led to such advancements as pacemakers and heart valves. As of 2014, the AHA has reached the $3.5 billion mark in research funding for heart disease and stroke making it the largest funder of research for these ailments outside of the United States government.

About the Walk

Join your Sonoma County friends and neighbors as we raise funds and awareness for the AHA at the 2018 Northbay Heart Walk. The walk will take place rain or shine in Howarth Park on Sunday, September 23 from 9am to 12pm. Water and restrooms are available, as is a kid’s activity zone sponsored by Wells Fargo. The route is handicap accessible and dog-friendly for leashed, behaved dogs.

Choose between a one, two or four-mile route either on your own or with a team of friends. If you’d like to help fundraise, you can help us reach our goal of $390,000. Simply register for the event and spread the word to your family and friends to support your walk.
